Did you decide to leave the teaching profession? If so, it’s understandable. Employers do treat us as if it’s our duty to make up for all the failings of our institutions and of the field in general. I was trying to teach my ELL two junior college students to write an essay, and they really had a hard time with it. I’m going to try your graphic organizer and then have them transfer it to their own smaller version graphic organizer with a new theme. Hope it works. Thanks so much for your idea. This old dog CAN learn new tricks. :)
